Hey guys! I am just wondering what causes your hit to be foul? Is it you swung the bat too late? Is it the movement of your swing? Or any other reasons?

Can you please inform me of any other drills that I can use to improve my swing or hitting so that I can avoid hitting foul balls. Thanks guys!

Your either ahead of the pitch or behind it. A right handed batter who hits a foul ball to left field is ahead of it, if he/she hits a foul ball to right field they are late, vise-versa with a left handed hitter.

One way to correct this is T work. Using a batting T just work until your machanics are correct. You will need another person to eval u or use a video recorder. Also, have someone pitch to you. Stay in your stance but don't swing. You may need help tracking the baseball. Just watch the ball cross the plate follow it all the way. Get use to seeing the ball. There are many reasons that you can foul a ball but this will help. After a couple weeks of this video tape yourself batting. Using slow motion see if you can see your flaws. Best to use is a camer that records using Quicktime format viewer. It is easy to step each frame thru to pick up flaws. I have been using this for years.

when you hit a foul ball you are either: late, ahead, under, and possibly on top of the pitch

Hmm let's see.
1. bat angle
2. swing speed
3. ball spin
