There has been a lot of talk for the last week about a Sammy Sosa comeback. Sosa is insistent that he is coming back to MLB as soon as he gets the right offer. His agent is very skeptical.

So, is Sammy Sosa really making a come back? And if so, would you want him, assuming he's now clean, on your team?

Does the right offer count as a minor league contract?

If not then I doubt he will be getting the right offer

He was given some $500k offer by a team this winter, wasn't he? Was he expected $2m for very poor numbers? Right now, I look at him as tainted goods. He seemed like a very nice guy, but with all these allegations of steroids and other PED usage, then he couldn't hit a lit, then the corked bat which conveniently got exposed when he was struggling ... I'd pass. *DEFINITELY* don't want him on the Yanks.

As Astro said, Sammy should accept a minor league deal. If his humility can't go that low, then he shouldn't expect to be on any team. If he wants to put his body through the rigors of a full season (or at least the last two months of one), then why is his price so high? He's already got millions. If $500k doesn't cover his expenses, then how much is he making right now to cover those same expenses?

Sosa has went from being the most fan adored superstar to a pariah overnight. I don't want him under any circumstances.

I would enjoy seeing him comeback. I prolly wouldnt want him on the Cubs for the way fans would treat him, but do hope he comes back. I'd like to see him 600 at least.

In 1998, he'd do the "kiss and a smile" thing when he'd kiss his "peace sign" fingers and blow a kiss to the crowd. That always got me as I'd loved it. He was so charismatic and his eyes lit up whenever he saw people. Heck, even after "losing" the HR race with McGwire, then NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani gave him a parade on lower Broadway. Since his fellow Dominicans are largely in Washington Heights (just north of Harlem), he then travelled up there to see them. They'd pretty much insisted that he should visit them, not the other way around.

Despite following his exploits religiously and on a daily basis, I personally believe there's less interest in him. To fall off the ladder from such a height must really hurt.

Sosa's career went down with his corked bat, it is sad.

After what he did with the O's last season, I chose "Yes", which I took to mean "Yes, but I wouldn't want him on my team".

Not really. It was when he was hit hard enough to crack his helmet. He became pitch-shy, and moved further away from the plate than before. His BA, HRs and RBIs declined drastically after that.

Sammy Sosa is my all-time favorite baseball player. I would love to seem him back with the Cubs, but I am about the only one.

I voted yes, only because there was no unsure option. I'm unsure leaning towards yes. He seems to think he wants to play again, and he's only 36 or so.

Bring back Palmeiro, Canseco, Big Mac and the rest. Put all them in the same team. Hopefully, they won't play for my team.

When he got caught with a corked bat I lost all respect for him. Good riddance to Sammy and I hope he does not come back.
