I'm very, very hopefull. Girardi should be up for manager of the year.

I think they'll hit .500, exactly.

BTW, I'm new here. Looks like a great forum. It's just what I'm looking for with regards to heavy baseball talk. This way, I can stop bothering my friends who don't care with it.

Heck, who knows. The Marlins are doing better than expected but are still 7 games under .500.

I believe they can go farther than just 500 considering how weak the NL has become......I would not consider the playoffs out of reach either.

That's official, the Marlins forum is so boring that they come up with threads asking if they'd finish above .500 and that they seriously consider Girardi MANAGER of the year?

Feel my Expos pain Fish, and to top it off, I hope you go down in shambles with Loria and Selig aboard :grouchy

I really hope they do. This organization keeps fielding exciting teams even though their attendance really sucks. They have accomplished more in 13 years than a lot of other teams have in 50 years.

I have the deepest respect for you, still rooting for a team that is about to leave.

A club lead by an owner that only cares about money and not about fans (this is the second time he has proven that).

$14 Million Payroll
21 rookies
4 rookies in the Starting Rotation
1.5 GB from the Wild Card
and the Braves?
62-68
$92 Million Payroll
4 GB from the Wild Card

And who has the most World Series since 1993?

The Marlins may, but even with the lack of World Championships...its hard to argue that the Marlins have been more successful than the Braves...considering the Marlins have never won their own division and usually finish towards the bottom of the barrell, and the braves have won 14 straight.

Wanna retract that statement?

Not the Loria part, though.

Ahh yes, I'm sure the Nationals thread is just filled with exciting and wonderul topics being that you are most likely one of the only two people who post in there. Now back to the Marlins, are you saying that Girardi isnt the manager of the year? If so then well...how do I say this....youre wrong. He is. Thats all and goodnight ladies and Gentleman.
