Hi all,
I am brand new to Baseball Fever, but I've lurked before, especially in the threads of old-time baseball players where I've found fantastic black & white photos I've never seen anywhere else. It is that reason why I decided to post this today...
I participate in a simulation league and our website allows you to upload images of the players on your team. I've been able to find images on the web for all of them except for relief pitcher Andy Karl. As many of you Philadelphia fans may already know, he was a member of the bullpen for the Blue Jays/Phillies from 1943-1946. I've had trouble finding either a baseball card of him (I don't know if one even exists) or many photos of the Phillies from that time period.
If anyone has a photo, even a team photo, where Andy Karl is definitely in the picture, I would be ever so grateful if you would post it or let me know how I could go about getting it. My wife's family lives 20 minutes outside of Cooperstown, so if I can't find one online by Christmas time, I may end up just going to the research wing of the HOF library and looking him up that way.
Thanks for any help in advance!
