as a pirates fan ive heard for the past few weeks that the yankees are interested in Jose Hernandez...if that trade actually happens who can pittsburgh expect in return??

Why would Yanks want someone who rarely makes contact?
Besides we have plenty of INFers.

I think it's just speculation ...wild speculation.

And if that trade ever happens...you can only expect one thing in return.
The most player traded of all time....Player to be named later. LOL

I have read that the Yankees are interested in Roberto Hernandez for bullpen help. That would make more sense.

Tony's anaylsis of Jose Hernandez seems right to me. Is there something we don't know about Hernandez?

Jose Hernandez is a part time player that has bounced around from team to team. The Pirates arent even playing him regularly. I agree with Tony so expect a player to be named in return if that trade ever happens which I see as highly unlikely.

I do know who Hernandez is.
He's the guy that sat out the last 2 games of the '03 season, I believe...so he wouldn't be faced with embarrassment of having the Career Record of K's in a season.

I'd be willing to bet he couldn't hit a beachball with one of them big red Flintstones bats! :laugh :waving

But...my condolences to your Bucs.
They were one of my fav teams back in the early 90s when Bonds was tolerable.
