What highly-unlikely event in Baseball will happen first?

A Woman plays in the Majors

Shoeless Joe Jackson is inducted into the HOF

Pete Rose is inducted into the HOF

A MLB team is based in a city that is not in the USA (including Puerto Rico) or Canada

or....

NL gets DH/AL ditches the DH

Good, Hard Question, GB. The Shoeless Joe debate has been stalled for quite some time, There isin't a big enough crusade to get Rose in, I havn't heard of any Women in the news or anything that are aiming to play in the majors (unfortunlity, but you never know) and Bud hasn't mention any hint of plans for teams outside the US,PR, or Canada so I'm going to have to go for the DH option.

I said MLB team outside of the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico because Mexico will probably eventually get one.

A woman will not play in the majors for quite some time.

Shoeless Joe SHOULD get into the HoF, and it probably will happen, but not before a team in Mexico. Same with Rose.

The DH option is the next closest, but I still think Mexico will get a team.

Tough Question but I voted a team outside of Canada/USA/Puerto Rico i`d love to see Shoeless Joe become eligible

MLB team in Mexico or Japan is what I voted for... Give it 20 or 30 years and there probably will be one

Japan seems too far just from a logistical standpoint, imho. What is it a 12 hour flight from San Fran to Tokyo? Think if it was from NYC to Tokyo. I guess Mexico might be doable, but I'm still a little skeptical because of certain things that are strained in the relationship between the U.S. & Mexico (illegal immigration, U.S. factories headin south, etc.). We have a good relationship with Canada, so it's easy. Vancouver could probably have an MLB team.

I went with Shoeless Joe just because I think in about seven years down the road someone will make a strong push to get him un-banned from baseball...he will then be put in the hall. Either that or Puerto Rico or Mexico City will get a major league club. Why do I think both of these? No reason really.

I went with MLB putting a team outside the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. A woman will only make it to the bigs as a publicity stunt. Nobody is going to let Shoeless Joe into the HoF. Pete Rose keeps shooting himself in the foot. The AL will never give up the DH no matter what the NL does.

I messed up my vote. Could a moderator take one from NL gets a DH/AL ditches DH and add it to A MLB team outside of the USA, Canada or Puerto Rico. Thanks and sorry for being so clumsy.

I though that USA, Canada, or Puerto Rico would be the most likley out of the others IMO. Its going to be wicked hard to get Shoeless or Rose into the hall, dont know if there ever will be a woman in the majors anytime soon, and the majortiy of the NL fans would hate to get the DH and the majority of the AL fans would hate to get rid of the DH. So the new team somewhere else is the biggest possibility of them all.

Pete Rose in the HoF seems most likely to me. I may have voted for team outside the US except there already is one.

There is already a team in Canada. There used to be 2.

Don't you have to select your choice, then hit submit for a vote to be sent? I don't understand how this happens so often when you need to click two different things to submit a vote.

Ive done it myself once or twice, those times I click the wrong thing and pressed submit, and notice while it was loading.I'm sure you'll do it by accident once or twice sometime around.

I've been at this site for nearly four full years, voted in literally thousands of polls and can't recall a single time when I've ever done that.

Ever click yes when a game asked you if your sure you want to quit, even though you don't want to? Ever miss a typo even though you double checked a paper? Everyone makes mistakes, some people make certin types of mistakes while some people make others.

I had the "Team outside of the USA, PR and Canada". I'm guessing a team will be in Mexico City or Monterey by 2020.

The reason I had Puerto Rico included with USA and Canada, BTW, is because Puerto Rico has hosted the most MLB games outside of the USA and Canada.

You should have an other option or put Cubs winning the WS? We gonna go all they way this year. We gonna pull a Red Sox comeback from our hats.

Good answer, I actually hope there never is an MLB team outside of the U.S. or Canada, personally speaking.

Any reason why? Don't you want the game to delvelop more internationally?

I don't mind if other countries develop their own leagues, like in Japan. But let's leave MLB in North America, preferably the U.S. and Canada. If people want to have global baseball competitions, let's put the game back in the summer olympics, imho.

I voted NL gets a DH. I don't want this to happen, but see it as a possibility since most fans seem to prefer higher scoring games. I could see the NL doing this if the powers that be think it will increase attendance and generate more money.

I have no idea how it would be possible to have a team in Japan. They would have to play on the road half the year, then at home the other half (like, all the away games in a row, then all the home games). Maybe in x years there will be another Concorde-type plane, and it will be do-able...

"Other... Cubs win the world series..."

Totally shocked that was not an option..

I voted for the countries outside of USA/Canada. You never know, since Mexico is the largest part of North American continent not generally considered as such, we may even have something there. Then again, after the WBC, many possibilities exist.

I can't recall if I have for either of those by it's very likely I have to both.
