Does anyone know if former Phillies SS Bobby Wine is still alive? I played Little league ball with his brother, Jimmy, many years ago and was just wondering. The Wines lived right next to all the ballfields in town, and played ball every day.
Per baseball-almanac, he is still alive.

Last I knew he was a major league scout for Atlanta.

When Bobby Wine and Cookie Rojas were the DP combination for the Phillies their fielding was known as "The Plays Of Wine and Rojas".....

Bobby had an arm like a pitcher, a great SS. He also had a bat like a pitcher.
