Liriano does it again

Twins rookie Francisco Liriano was brilliant again tonight in Minnesota's win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Liriano outdueled another talented young lefty, the Rays Scott Kazmir, and now moves to 11-2 on the season after lasting 8 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run.

Twins fans should be ecstatic that Liriano is on their team. Liriano and Santana are the best 1-2 punch in baseball. The kid is the real deal.

I don't know, but they have certainly been fun to watch.

Kazmir, Papelbo, Liriano, Elizardo Ramirez, Mike Pelfrey, Carlos Marmol and many more young pitchers have really impressed me this season when I have seen them pitch in person. The future of pitching is looking very bright.
