How about Papelbon? I know he's a closer, but as a member of the Red Sox,he could be one to add to your list.

Papelbon's stuff is extremely high now so you pretty much missed your chance on him for rookie, auto stuff. Verlander's stuff is still fairly low.
I'd say Jacoby Ellsbury... he's gonna be good... look up the stats.

Ive been on the Ellsbury bandwagon since hes been drafted. Hes doing great in double A. I wish Papelbon had a bowman rookie auto. Hes just got the Draft chrome

It's not a hot card? I'd say doing good is an understatement.

I just sent an autograph request to Jacoby in care of his minor league team about a week ago. Hopefully I will get it back.

Verlanders hot now but what do you think about his future???? On a side note do you think with all the variations of autos in bowman that it will hurt future values?

Verlander is already hot. So are most of the other guys most of you all mentioned. Their cards are already going up, up, up. Luckily I just sent in my Justin Verlander 2005 Bowman Chorme Draft X-Fractor card to Beckett and got it back graded 9.5!
Two names to look out for that not many people know are Phillip Hughes and Homer Bailey. Of course their cards are not cheap but many people still dont know who these guys are. I started investing in Francisco Liriano cards last season but most people haven't jumped on him until halfway through this season. The key is to recognize the talent before they make the jump to the majors.

Papelbon does sign TTM though. I got his little brother Josh (he's a great guy) and I'm sending it to Boston to get Jon to sign it. It will be a collector's item someday.

I got Jon Papelbon at a Tri Star show. What do you think about Jed Lowrie?

I think the coolest autograph I have is from an up-and-coming baseball star..Pat Neshek. He pitches for the Twins and signs everything you send in the mail. He has possibly the coolest autograph I've ever seen.

How about Carlos Quentin? I think he has some nice Bowman cards and he definitely can rake.

take a gamble if you're going to start investing. Heres a sight that may help here (http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/features/060223top100c.html)If you want my hint though, since everyone is saying their hometown heroes, I'll say Josh Fields. Big prospect for the White Sox, major league ready, and still cheap. With 2006 Bowman, names to look out for are Alex Gordon, and Kendry Morales. Chrome cards also have a much higher value. My advice is to just buy a box or two of 2006 bowman, open em or whatever, put em away, and look back at them a couple of years later. I bought a lot of 2002 bowman, and I look back at them now, and I have awesome rookie cards like Chase Utley, Jake Peavy, Joe Mauer, Brad Wilkerson, and Francisco Liriano. Just don't trade any of them for now.
