Hi, I am new to the site and seeking some advice from the experts. I have coached 7 years at 2 different Division 3 colleges under very successful head coaches. While at each school, we broke numerous team and conference offensive records. While the hitting philosophies at each school had some rotational theory, there was also a lot of the old school stuff.
I am now a high school athletic director where I have also helped coach softball the last 3 years. The softball program was terrible, which was why I fired the coach and decided to help out. I've taught a lot of the same principles that I learned as a college coach. Hitting was never my area of expertise, especially since I was taught strictly weight shift in high school.
I've been studying rotational theory a bit for the past year and I'm looking to take some advanced techniques to some our hitters. I teach best when demonstrating. Problem is, I need to get rid of some of the old stuff. I have a video clip of myself that I've used to demonstrate what we currently teach. I have an idea on a couple of obvious flaws that need corrected on my swing, but I just wanted to hear thoughts and advice from the gurus. Thanks for your time.
Please keep in mind that this was a dry swing........
