Howdy, I'm new to the forum.

Anyways, for maybe 14 years now I've had in my possession a baseball signed by Alex Rodriguez back when he played for the Appleton Foxes, (AA, I believe.) I was at the game when he fouled it out into the stands, which I grabbed and later got him to sign.

There are several things which may affect the price of this ball and I don't know how it will affect it...maybe you guys can help me out:

1. I'm fairly certain it was hit out by Alex himself. I was 7 at the time, though, so my memory of the occurence is a bit uncertain.
2. He signed it between the stitches. I'm sure there's a term for this location on the ball, but I can't recall what it is at the moment.
3. The ball was also signed by a teammate of his at the time, although I can't recall who at the moment. I'll edit this post with his name as soon as I can get home to check the ball.
4. The ball has not been authenticated, although I am willing to GET it authenticated. Also, his sig was kind of sloppy compared to the sigs I see him do now, (he got swamped by fans after the game...must've been in a hurry). Will this affect the price?

Be back soon...thanks in advance for the help!

-Anthony

There are several things which may affect the price of this ball and I don't know how it will affect it...maybe you guys can help me out:

1. I'm fairly certain it was hit out by Alex himself. I was 7 at the time, though, so my memory of the occurence is a bit uncertain. That shouldn't matter too much
2. He signed it between the stitches. I'm sure there's a term for this location on the ball, but I can't recall what it is at the moment. The sweet spot. That's a good place to get a signature
3. The ball was also signed by a teammate of his at the time, although I can't recall who at the moment. I'll edit this post with his name as soon as I can get home to check the ball. Balls signed by more than one person will diminish that value quite a bit unless there's some kind of connection between the two (i.e. Mantle/Maris, Thomson/Branca, etc)
4. The ball has not been authenticated, although I am willing to GET it authenticated. Probably would be a good idea to do so. Also, his sig was kind of sloppy compared to the sigs I see him do now, (he got swamped by fans after the game...must've been in a hurry). Will this affect the price? I would think it shouldn't affect the price too much, as long as it's authenticated

My opinions are in bold
