Does the principle owner of a team (ie. george Steinbrenner, Ted Rogers) have the power to fire the coach/players/general manager(ie. Cashman) of the team????

Of course, after all, it's their team.

About the only thing the principal owner can't do is assume the duties of field manager.

Ask King George if he can fire the manager.
The only manager that ever had total jb security was Connie Mack. He owned the team.
Ted Turner tried to name himself manager once. He was rebufed by the Commissioner.

I thought Turner was able to get a few games in.
bluejaysfan4ever, is there a reason why you'd think the owner would not be able to fire anybody? It's just like any other business, after all, and always has been.

I think he just means does he have to get the minority owners to agree on it too or can he make the decision himself. Which he can. Most minority owners are basically silent partners.

Turner got in one game, a loss, before being banished to the owner's box.
