Yes...I Think The Reds Have Enough To Win The Central Division Because Cincinnati Has People Like Hattiburg, Griffey, Dunn, Phillips, and A Couple other who can really produce in the clutch. Also Are starting Pitching Is Really On Its Game....We Have 10-6 Arron Harang, 9-6 Bronson Arroyo, Also 6-4 Eric Milton....The reds have only 1 losing starting pitcher and that is only because they have not had any run support when he pitched. Relief was bad and blew a ton of games but now with the new relifer and closer we are great! Reds will eventually go ahead of the cards and will win the division! :gt :dance

I'm gonna go on a limb here and say yes. Griffey is having one of his best seasons as a Redleg, Dunn is hitting like .360 from the two slot and the D is pretty solid, including newly acquired Clayton. Starting pitching is good, if they can hold it together, and the bullpen seems to be there only struggle really this year. The big trade with the Nats seemed to help them out a good bit, and I see "Everyday Eddie" contributing a lot for the reds. As long as they stay healthy I think they will Catch Pujols and the Cards.

No, but the Reds have enough to win the wild card. Before play tonight, there were only four teams above .500. Who? The Mets, the Cards, the Padres, and the Reds.

I agree. I think St. Louis is going to win the central, but the Reds have a legitimate shot at the N.L. Wild Card. Call me crazy, but I still don't feel that confident in "Everyday Eddie" closing out games. Also, with David Weathers and Kent Mercker in the bullpen, no lead is a safe lead.

I'm starting to think that they have a better chance of winning the division than the wild card. I don't know what happened to the Atlanta Braves, but I'm not willing to count them out for the wild card. The Cardinals, however, appear to be quite weak now, and I wouldn't be too surprised if the Reds could make a push and pass them. However, I honestly don't really like their chance of winning either at the moment.

I think they will win it as long as there bullpen doesn't fall apart.

The bullpen has had to have come together for it to fall apart.

your right. Let me refrase that:
I think they will when the division as long as their bullpen can turn things around and start pitching well.

Hopefully, the recent trades will help toward that goal. The new players certainly deserve as much of a shot as Mercker, etc.

The Reds showed me a lot last night in their win over the New York Mets. The bullpen is a definite question mark, but the Reds showed a lot of heart in their 7-4 victory after the game was delayed two hours due to rain. Everyday Eddie has been getting it done, but how much longer will it last?
I think they will definitely be in the Wild Card race all summer, but the Cards are going to win the Central.
