Bob Melvin signed a contract extension with the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday that will keep him in Zona until 2008. There is also an option for a third season in 2009. Melvin, who is currently in the second year of a two year contract, is a big reasons why the Diamondbacks went from 51 wins in 2004 to 77 in 2005.
