Who do you think has been the biggest surprise has been for the Reds in 06?
Bronson Arroyo- RHP
Brandon Phillips- 2B
David Ross- C
Ryan Freel- UTIL
Anyone else-
I have to go with Brandon Phillips because he has had a great first half both offensively and defensively. The Cleveland Indians didn't really give him a chance in their organization and it has been a blessing for the Reds.
My runner up would go to David Ross, who is becoming one of the best offensive catchers in the National League. His bat is a huge upgrade over Jason LaRue and he fairly decent behind the plate. Bronson Arroyo loves to pitch to Ross and David has caught Bronson every game except Sunday's loss to Atlanta. LaRue has more athleticism and has a stronger arm, but Ross has been a huge part of the Reds offense.
