2. Alex Rodriguez (Overpayed, plus playes for the yankees)
3. Albert Pujols (just plain tired of hearing about how great he is)
4. Billy Wagner (ever since he left Philly and started bashing them)
5. Barry Bonds (Who doesnt hate him, besides anyone who is in San Fran)

1. Barry Bonds (for obvious reasons)
2. Alex Rodriguez (i don't appreciate arrogance in a baseball player)
3. Brett Myers (i'm sure there are many baseball players who have hit their wives, but he's the first one that I can think of offhand, so he makes the list)
4. Rafael Furcal (I don't like drunk drivers either, especially repeat offenders)
5. Doug Waechter (he was signing autographs at Fenway last month, but completely ignored me and walked right by)

1. Barry Bonds (of course).
2. Jason Giambi (why does he get away with using sterriods?)
3. Curt Schilling (he's rude...and he always is so icky about the O's)
4. A-Rod (for the amount of money...and he plays BASEBALL..the guy should smile once in awhile..cry baby)
5. David Wells (you stink as an O...then you go pitch a perfect game? maybe if he had listen to us...stopped eating donuts he would have been better with the O's. I hate him).

for the record: i do not hate any baseball player.
i do, however, have a certain disdain for those who refer to san francisco as anything other than "the city".

Bonds - duh
Manny Ramierz - Please take the game at least a quarter as seriously has I do.
Schilling - He never shuts up and thinks he's always right
AJ Piersynski - he's every sterotypical jock "I won the world series so now i can act like a d***"
Shea Hillenbrand - Random I know, but i think it has to do with the name Shea and the fact he was a Red Sox, just a bad combo.

I used to hate David Ortiz but can now admit I'm jealous. We have the same body-type but he gets paid millions to hit home runs and I'm making minimum wage and have a hard time standing up.
Also use to hate Ken Griffey, Jr because he was so overhyped in the mid 90s, used to destroy the Yankees and also sounded like a pompus jerk in interviews. But now after all his injuries he has matured a bit and I actually find myself rooting for him and the Reds in the central this year.

sammy sosa - how good would he have been if he only had a brain? j/k.

mark prior - cocky and talented while playing for a rival. really easy to dislike, although i'm disappointed that injuries are crippling him right now. i love watching us compete against him and respect the hell out of his ability.

joe borowski - the "blue collar" closer. give me a break. the only thing this closer ever "stopped" on a consistent basis was the toilet in the cubbies' clubhouse. :laugh

kenny lofton - he killed us for years. a pest. a hotshot. he was relentless against us. he's another guy that i respect because he plays the game (usually) with a lot of intensity.

kerry robinson - AAA talent at best that thought he should be an everyday player in MLB. plays the game about as smart as sosa did, except he only has about 2% of sosa's natural/uncanny talent. perfect fit for KC.

4) Edmonds (hate his cockiness and his all around attitude):laugh i'll give you that. i would hate him too if he played anywhere else.

he's actually one of my favorites because he drives opposing teams' fans insane.

2) John Rocker (again, surprise no one mentioned him)
2) Chipper Jones (Im surprise no one said his name yet)
3) A-Rod the whiny little pissant
4) Bobby Cox (as a manager... i swear he cheats)

Sadly, the way he is playing as of late clearly indicates that he does not use steriods. I don't mind him though. He is funny at times, because of the fact that the things he says is so dumb.

My list...

1. Derek Jeter (As mentioned, overhyped to the max)
2. Kenny Rogers (Gambles too much, as mentioned - a total ass)
3. David Wells (Pure excuses and whining)
4. Josh Towers (Not a towering performance)
5. Johnny Damon (Overhyped)

Yeap not a hater of Barry Bonds. Feel sorry for him in some respect. Every time he tries to have a conversation of some sort, the word "steriods" comes in. Alot have lied and such about it. He isn't the only one. Like said, records and such aside, he is still fun to watch...

1. John Rocker - need I say more? He's a no heart, cold-blooded player who intimidates people with racist/appalling remarks. The current closer for the Braves is a lot nicer than this!
2. Barry Bonds - if he's convicted, this will single-handedly destroy his HOF chances. Also, he played against us in 2002 NLCS, hitting a triple and a home run, thanks to BALCO. (sorry WCO&B, I don't like him)
3. Jim Edmonds - his attitude keeps me from watching an at-bat with him. He strikes out too many times on pitches that are not strikes. I wished we signed a healthier and younger CF to give Edmonds his (very likely) final year with the Cardinals
4. Any players named Mike Lamb, Roy Oswalt, Derek Jeter, A-Rod or A.J. Pierzynski - the first two are Cardinal killers, the other is a psycho who gets in tantrums. Derek Jeter and A-Rod are very expensive and the sole reasons why MLB needs a sane salary cap of $15 million.
5. Juan Encarnicion/Jason Giambi/Johnny Damon (tied) - three random baseball players, right? Giambi got booed in his return to Oakland and posts insane numbers, while JD is a full-grown traitor. Juan Encarnicion either: a) swings and misses at pitches, b) leaves people on base, c) none of the above and does something useful.

1. Roger Clemens - I still think it was roid rage that led him to bean Piazza and then throw the remains of his bat at him.
2. Derek Jeter - owner of the most annoying smirk on the planet.
3. Barry Bonds - for obvious reasons.
4. Roy Oswalt - for beaning Cliff Floyd and knowing he wouldnt face any retaliation since he did it in the final inning he pitched. I think there was another incident as well that made me really dislike him but I can't recall it offhand.
5. Brett Myers - not only is he a wifebeater, but he's a remorseless one.

Not in any particular order:

Chipper Jones
Sammy Sosa
Curt Schilling
Derek Jeter
Bret Boone

I know, a couple are gone from baseball NOW, but still..

I'd have put Bonds on this list, but in MY opinion, the media seems to go too far out their ways to MAKE us, as fans, hate Barry.. he's never done anything to me to make me hate him.. well, other than letting Sid Bream score, but in the whole scope of things, I'm pretty much over that and have BEEN over that for over a decade now.

Rocker is still pitching... we recently boo'ed him off Long Island when he played for the Ducks... he didnt last long at all. I lost track of him, but he's still outside looking for the door to get back into the majors. So that does make him a current player.

Sosa retired??

Rocker called it quits after a couple outings for the Long Island Ducks. His career's over.

I saw him and Jose Canseco on some small-time cable network (MSNBC, I think) interview. Canseco was even more defensive of Rocker than Rocker himself.

Barroid Bonds*

David Ortiz-just when I think the Yanks finally have an opportunity to move a game up in the standings he pulls of something ridiculous, again.

Curt Schilling-The whole Bloody Sock thing was overhyped. Plus I`m bitter.

Mark McGuire*

Sammy Sosa*

DISHONORABLE MENTIONS

Palmeiro-To insignificant for the top 5 but still *

Kevin Youkillis-My version of the perfect offensive player (missing only speed) but a Boston player

Tim Wakefield/Jonathan Papelbon-Both routinely frustrate me with their consistency

Group Mentions

All steroid users not mentioned above who did not admit to using steroids

Most Boston players not mentioned above

All steroid users that did admit and apologize

So thats my list and as you can see all of them are either Boston players or steroid users. Note that these players are hated for purely baseball reasons.

Note that these players are hated for purely baseball reasons.

You hate Wakefield, Papelbon, and Youkilis, and you hate them because they either a) frustrate you, or b) because they play for the Sox?

That doesn't sound too baseball-related.
