Just heard on The Score in Chicago that Twins P Francisco Liriano has been named to the AL All-Star squad.He will replace Chicago White Sox ace Jose Contreras after Contreras threw 94 pitches in yesterdays 19 inning marathon against Boston.

I am glad Liriano will fill in for Contreras tonight at the All Star Game. I could not believe Ozzie Guillen left him off the original roster because he has arguably been the best pitcher of the first half. His numbers, 10-1 with a 1.83 ERA, are out of this world. His stuff is electric and the lefty is a joy to watch.
