Should the Reds consider brining up Chris Denorfia from AAA Louisville? Every time I see Denorfia play it seems like he gets on base at least three times. He is currently leading the International League in hitting and is one of the best defensive centerfielders in AAA. DeWayne Wise is an atletic player, but I was surprised to see Wise called up over Denorfia.

it doesn't help Denorfia as a player, or his trade value to bring him in the majors to fill Quinton McCracken's role. DeWayne Wise on the other hand, who is much better defender, is a known commodity and has no real trade value. you won't see Denorfia up until one of the outfielders is injured or traded. it's really shame though, because Denorfia should be the starting centerfielder.

Well said. Although, I have seen Denorfia and Wise play a great deal at AAA Louisville and you could make the argument Denorfia is a better defensive centerfielder. He really tracks the ball well out there, but Wise is a lot faster and is very capable himself. I agree that the value of Denorfia is higher playing for the Bats, but it is too bad he is not in the M.L.B. because I think he would be doing well.
