The NY Times story this AM on JOSE REYES needing seven stiches on his pinky finger, after hurting it on that play at first last night...

Yeah, I was watching the game and it looked like he hurt it good... I HATE the head 1st slide into 1st base!:grouchy
He will now miss 5-10 games as well as the AS game because of it:(

Not really..they say he could POSSIBLY be able to play in the all star game..and if he cant start, he can pinch run like he did today..which is ALWAYS good with his speed.

Yeah, but its not the same as him starting and playing the field and leading off... Plus I'm not all that thrilled about Willie putting him to run with the way he slides and I'm sure as heck not thrilled thinking of him doing that in the AS game.... I think its way too risky... Just wait the week or 2 for the hand to heal and then get back to business....

What a bonehead move diving head first into 1B. He really could have gotten hurt bad.
