Gooch Injured

In the 5th inning of tonight's game against Baltimore,2B Tadahito Iguchi sprained his left ankle in a collision with RF Jermaine Dye.

Gooch was backpedaling from 2nd to catch a fly ball hit by Kevin Millar.Iguchi and Dye converged together,and Dye dropped to the ground as he saw Iguchi in his path,and Iguchi got his ankle rolled by Dye in the collision.

Alex cintron replaced Iguchi in the field,while Dye remained in the game.

Gooch is expected to miss the rest of the Baltimore series.

Im glad he's going to be ok. But make no mistake, the real genius behind Kenny Williams construction of this team is how they are, and will be, able to survive injuries and still win.
