Anyone have info on August "Honey" Post

I never met my father-in-law, he died 2 years before we were married. My wife has 2 articles, 1 from the Long Island Press, and 1 from the old New York Herald Tribune, from 1973. He played for the Astoria Ditmars,the Astoria Wanderers, the Silk Sox, and College Point. All NYC Semi-Pro teams. Both write-ups say he was the first picther to use the no wind-up delivery.

If anyone has ever heard of him, or has any information on him I would love to here it.
