I'm trying to create a table using the HTML tag and HTML, but I'm not getting it to display properly. See here: http://baseball-fever.com/showpost.php?p=591900&postcount=62

What am I missing? Help!

Forget HTML code or trying to put it in HTML code. Simply copy and paste the subject matter into brackets code brackets, brackets/code brackets Like this

Name games GS CG IP hits runs ER ERA K BB WP HB SV W L Pct
Leon Day 44 35 21 275.0 235 138 91 2.98 154 83 1 4 3 20 10 .661
Bill Foster 43 30 24 275.0 225 103 73 2.40 150 76 2 5 3 21 10 .675
Satchel Paige 48 36 20 275.0 215 101 62 2.02 225 46 3 3 2 19 11 .628
Hilton Smith 49 28 18 275.0 228 103 52 1.68 159 33 2 4 2 24 11 .696

Thanks. I'll do that (and take advantage of your work for one of the posts). What's the point of the HTML code thing, though, if it doesn't work?

It displays properly to me. The thing with this site is that it has the sliding horizontal and vertical bars, so if your Table is pretty tall and/or wide, you'll get those.

For those unfamiliar, use the "[code]" code, which, when paired with text that's aligned, will make these. If one uses a word processor like MS Word, or something like WordPad, they can use a fixed font like Courier and space everything over.

I switched to the "Code" tags and tried to align it manually.

You can put the file with HTML coding into a word processor or Word PAd have it read it and it will setup the chart for you. Then copy and paste it over to here using the codes tag. Hit preview to see if everything is aligned right. Usually if you have a word or phrase that is too long the alignment will get a bit screwy, so just delete some letters or shorten the phrase.

Typing this actually took longer then doing it, it is pretty easy.
