This team is never going to get to the post season with this crummy pitching staff. Sao, Sele, Perez, Tomko - Awful! And the bullpen needs help too. Now the question: Do we trade some kids to try and win now? Or should we still plan for '07 and '08 to be our breakout year?
Our 3,4 and 5 starters are donkey doo doo. :grouchy Can the Dodgers compete against the better teams like Oakland and the Mets without trading away too much???????

The Dodgers would be better sitting tight for another month to see how real they are. They look awfully flukey to me and to lose several good prospects for a modest pitching upgrade seems risky to me.
Then you always have the problem of who are you really going to trade for and are you really going to put enough on the table to get that trade to fly?

You don't need any more help than the Giants.
The Mainers swept the Giants last weekend and they look like they may do the Giants a favor in Los Angeles...

Seattle is 8-0 versus the NL West. Dang interleague BS! :ughh :DI know. And Beltre is getting a second life playing against his old team. He's like on fire the likes of which Seattle fans have NEVER seen of him in the past two years.
Seattle looks like they may have something going -- only 3-1/2 out. I never saw that coming.

I was kinda happy for Beltre doing well. I haven't watched him play since he joined Seattle but know of his struggles. The way he's played the first two games is what we saw for the entire '04 season.

That place is a difficult park for hitters. I've heard that some players really don't consider Seattle in FA because of the ball park. Kinda of nice to see him hammer the Dodgers though. :p

It was sweet to see him get caught in a rundown between 3rd and home last night.
It was sweeter seeing him in third place in a horrible AL West
And it's sweetest seeing the Dodgers ahead of the Giants. :D :D :gt
