How about a game thread so we can post whatever stories we've got from going to a Milwaukee Brewers game? Eh?

I'll start us off with my most recent one from yesterday (June 16th, 2006)

There were six of us and we planned this out for a while. However, two of our friends forgot to get off of work for the day. Woops. So four of us took the two hour drive after we bought all our tailgating food, and we got to the stadium at about 3:30.

So of course we've got to let the coals heat up a bit, right? We decide to play catch. Bad idea. My friend Kyle hasn't picked up a baseball glove in about 8 years (He's a soccer fan, don't ask). He repeatedly missed every low throw and was running all over that parking lot for the next hour and a half.

So we're cooking out from about 3:30 to 5:30 with some Smokey Brats and some All-Beef Hot Dogs. We're all full and are starting to pack up when the other two members of our six-man troupe show up since they had to work until 3. They wanted food, but we wanted to go into the stadium. They would have to wait until after the game. Of course, they couldn't handle it so they ended up buying the 4 dollar lemonade the 3 dollar fries.

It was a good game. Capuano threw 11 strikeouts and only gave up the two runs to C.C. Sabathia. The saddest part of the game, was that the people sitting in front of us were huge Turnbow fans and left at the top of the 9th because Matt Wise was brought on. Turned out Turnbow would come out after Wise gave up a 2 run homer.

So after the game, we decide to cook out and play a little more catch (Bad idea, the lights kept getting in Kyle's eyes). Then after about an hour or so, it was time to head out. You see, we had two cars. The four of us, and the two of them who came a few hours later. Those two don't really know Milwaukee at all. Me and my friend Rolo who were in the same car were the only ones who knew our way around. He's from Chicago and I'm from Milwaukee, so we have a way with directions.

After we've been on the road for an hour, they call us "we've driven around Milwaukee for an hour and we can't find our way home". Anyone who looks at road signs would see the I94 signs all over the place. But who knows.

So we got home at about 2 AM and it's not 7:30 AM and I have to go to work.

Just got my tickets in the mail today for the Brewers-Royals series in Kansas City next weekend.

Hopefully I'll have some stories to tell when we get back.
