BJ Upton was arrested and charged with driving while impaired in North Carolina where he plays for the Durham Bulls. He was not in the starting lineup for Durham tonight. He was batting 271, so far this season.

Might be the reason these two guys aren't already in the major leagues.

Don't forget Elijah Dukes and his anger management issues. Josh Hamilton...

Immaturity? Could be. But to so many prospects? Coincidence or a pattern of being pampered their whole life and not knowing how to deal with adversity?

There's more to being a major leaguer than talent and these guys are Exhibit A.

Another legacy from the Namoli regime. Maybe from now on the Rays will check character as well as statistics, before they draft young players.

Young, Upton and Dukes all in hot water in Durham. It makes me wonder about the leadership abilities of the management team on site in Durham.
PS: The time has come to get serious on re-signing Lugo.

Don't forget the manager there John Tamargo, was also suspended for 10 games (AFTER the Delmon Young incident) for bumping an umpire. No wonder all this crap is going on, TB should have fired him and put Evers back there until the season is over. We didn't have these problems when he was the manager :grouchy

You and Eddiey make very good points. Teams generally take on the persona of their manager. You would think the team would have taken a close look at who was going to manage their top prospects. That being said, Young, Dukes and Upton are one step away from the major leagues and need to be responsible for themselves. Josh Hamiltons case is quite different from the other three.
