Really? has A rod been that tough on the A's? Go figure? You also said in the Yankee uniform? He was less worse in a Mariners, uniform? or Rangers uniform?

Batter's box - David Ortiz (self-explanatory) ;)
Mound - Still Randy Johnson; his size, power, aggressiveness (just ask CLE 2 nites ago!)

I'd say David Ortiz. He feasts on Yankee pitching.

last year it was Derek Lee..
and for pitching, Roy Oswalt.

For the mound, it's Francisco Liriano/Johan Santana (tie). How he can destroy hot hitters like Miguel Tejada and others is almost absurd. As for Santana, he has one pitch that CANNOT be avoided, and you get K'ed.
As for the batter: Manny Ramirez/Craig Biggio (another tie). One can hit the long ball easily, the other can easily get cheap base hits (infield or normal) in his run for 3,000 hits.

Just something about seeing him suited up as a Yank. Never liked him as a Mariner, hated seeing him in Texas, but now that he's with the evil empire...

Apparently, many boo-bird Yankee fans haven't enjoyed seeing him in a Yankee uniform either, per his current slump.
To me, Johan Santana was dealing better than Monty Hall in the classic "Let's Make a Deal" TV show from 30 years ago.

Oh, and a certain 1Bman playing in St Louis comes to mind. :p

If i was a batter, i would never want to see Pedro. A pitcher...Pujols. A manager...Chris Reitsma or Adrian Beltre, on either situation.

Batting: a tie between Big Papi and Albert Pujols
Pitching: Pedro Martinez

Vladimir Guerrero, because you can throw him a pitch a foot out of the strike zone with the intent of pitching around him and he can still extend his arms and slam it for a double or a homer.

Did I forget somebody? Oh yes, I also fear Carlos Zambrano, who makes lots of hitters look silly. Three pitches is the minimum he needs to finish off hitters when he's on a tear.
Did I mention I would not pitch to hot-hitting shortstops (i.e. David Eckstein, Miguel Tejada, Cal Ripken Jr., etc.)? Well, when they are (or were for Ripken), they usually flare up in a nasty way, ending up for a very bad fate for the pitcher.

Right now, anyone pitching against the Cubs scares me. :(

before this year, it was David Ortiz
but this year he's hitting into the shift too much for me to really fear him any more than Manny
so now its Manny
as for pitchers, I don't think anybody wants to face Mariano Rivera

Pitchers:
Maddux...watching him pitch and hit against the RSox last year
I'll agree with Randy Johnson; looks scary, acts scary, throws scary
Seanz;please trade to NYY
Closers:Rivera
Anybody but Papelbon; when you see him walking to the mound, you relax
Hitters: Anybody that hits a line drive back to the mound
It's not the other teams hitters that scare me, it's the RSox bullpen. (And what Francona does with it.)

On the mound: Zambrano
At the plate: Friggin Pujols

This is a no-brainer -- in many senses of the phrase. Really I'm surprised someone hasn't mentioned him earlier.
Jason Voorhees. I mean the guy is just unstoppable. And as soon as you think you've got him beat -- WHAM!

Batting: Pat Burrell (when he sees blue and orange--he HITS! )

David Wright of the Mets...
and Tom Glavine of the Mets
Both are Philly killers, Glavine especially since he negates the Phils left handed power
