I use a Sony HandyCam to capture video. The unit uses the small DVD’s. Then I pull the video into the computer by using a Pinnacle Video Capture Card and Software. The capture portion of the process requires playback into the capture card.
When you take the DVD out of the camera and put it into the computer, the file on the DVD is in a *.vro format that I can not use with the my editing software. I found out through some internet research that you can simply rename a *.vro file to *.mpeg. The editing software I use will import an *.mpeg file.:radio
