The one bright spot in the Rays bullpen Tyler Walker was put on the 15 day DL with a right elbow strain. Tim Corcoran was brought up in his place. Manager Joe Maddon was uncertain who woul take over the closers role.

I have not followed Walker since the Giants sent him to Tampa. Has he done will for the DRays? He gave it his all with the Giants! :)

Walker has done a great job for the Rays as the closer. Loseing him puts a big strain on the bullpen.

Thanks for the information. He was a very good Giant and I kew him when he was a High School BB Player, although I am old enough to be his father.

No problem. It was surprising the Giants gave up on him so quickly. He said that he didn't think the current injury is too serious.

Tyler Walker visited Dr. Andrews today in Birmingham AL and got the worst news of all. He will undergo TJ surgery tomorrow and is lost for the season :hp He was a bright spot coming over from SF, and now we are back to bullpen by committee. No word yet if one of the closers in training in Durham (Orvella, McClung, Salas) have been called up to the big club.

I would like to see Edwin Jackson get a shot.
