Belle is stats wise a HOF player. His average season rivals guys like Foxx. His ten year span was outrageous but he'll need a ticket to get in because he was as big a jerk off the field and to public and press as he was brilliant on the field. His career was short but he certainly meets the HOF criteria and he was as good a hitter as I've seen. Kirby was smart enough to keep his pecadillos quiet until the ballot was in .Joey (Albert) was never clever unless it was at bat.

The thought of that lunic stalking anyone is scarey.
I wouldn't want the HOF tarnished with that waste of talent.
