The current (as well as the last few seasons) Detroit Tigers ad campaign is who's your Tiger?
I wanna know who's your MLBer?
Mine Chris Shelton.....(I was pimping him in 2004)

Shelton all the way.
I hope he can keep it up and put together a Hall of Fame career.
I don't know much about him. I don't know if he's a nice guy or a jerk and I'm not sure I want to know.
Bonds ruined that aspect of the game for me. Now I just wach them play and avoid the rest of the crap as much as I can.

Jeremy Reed. Traded for him on MLB 2K6 and he hit .409 with 65 HRs and 173 RBI. No exaggeration!

Two for me; both of whom I watched with some interest during their AAA days.
Former Pawtucket Red Sox infielder, now Boston 1B Kevin Youkillis. He played like a man possessed, but didn't seem to have a shot breaking into the bigs as an everyday player with the Sawx, until trades, free agency, and injuries thrust him into the lineup. He is doing quite well, and can play anywhere on the field if needed.
Much travelled Phillies catcher Sal Fasano. Chicago born, and just a real solid receiver that bounced around more than a little, was out of MLB for a year or so, and has now found his niche in Philadelphia. Having him behind the plate is like having an extra pitching coach on the field, not to mention his agility and tenacity at the most difficult position in baseball.

Lance Berkman is by far my favorite player. I am a Yankee fan and have lived in NY most of my life, so I'm not really sure how this happend. I just love watching him hit!

Craig Biggio. Really going to miss that guy when he finally hangs 'em up. But maybe I'll have Chris Burke to immediately take his place.
Also like Grady Sizemore and Victor Martinez with the Tribe, don't ask me why, just accept it  Love to watch Vladimir Guerrero hit and Dontrelle Willis pitch. They just look like they're always having fun.

Corey Patterson. When he came to the O's he reminded me so much of Willie Mays Hays from Major League (LOL!)...I defended him against all the O's fans who hated him. Now I get to spend the rest of the season saying "I told you so"

Prince Fielder. I became a huge fan of his father's in the 1996 playoffs and when I heard the Brewers drafted his son, I was instantly a fan of him too. I was a big supported for the Overbay trade that got Prince the starting job. 12 HR's and a .298 AVG is hard to argue with.

Dang, I posted the thought before the Tigers vs Devil Rays...I might agree? The Tigers beat his relievers though (I was at the game). Verlander vs Kazmir, great game.
BTW what is Kazmirs nationality? My wife is curious?

His Dad was amazing, if his dad ever tells you to bet on black? Don't do it, or maybe bet on Red? It is a dang shame though. I hear he doesn't even talk to his son. Back in the day here in Detroit they shared the screen in a McDonalds comericial. It is a shame that the "gambling" drove them apart, besides the mess that Cecil made of his OWN LIFE.

Kazmir is from the United States... born in Houston Texas
- Baseball America High School Player of the Year, 2002
- Set a single-season record for strikeouts by high school pitchers in Texas with 175 for Cypress Falls High School (breaking the previous record of 172, set by Josh Beckett)
- Member of the United States Junior Olympic baseball team in 2001; they won the silver medal
- Traded from the Mets with Jose Diaz for Victor Zambrano and Bartolome Fortunato
- Was a high school team mate of highly touted Nationals prospect Clint Everts

Nomar Garciaparra.
I'm in New York City, and a Yankee fan, but I don't have any problems with individual players. Most people over here say "Once a Red Sok, always a Red Sok." That is, of course, until he signs with the Yankees for more money than he's worth. *Cough*Damon*Cough*
Anyway...
Nomar is my favorite shortstop of all time. Back in the late 90's and early 00's, Nomar established that he can do it all. Hit, Field, Run... and he does it with class. He doesn't care about stats or awards. He cares about playing and winning.
Oh, and he has the coolest name in baseball history.

I definitely have to go with Pudge. Since he came to Detroit, I have grown very fond of him and his attitude. Craig Biggio and Frank Thomas are my top three.

Well, during the depressing streak lately, I'd be tempted to say none because I have little to no confidence in anyone. But my MLBer (Braver) is ... John Smoltz. He has been the most consistent out of anyone.

Took me a while to figure out what this thread even means.
But I'd say...anybody who's not Sean Casey can't be a bad pick.
Any of the following:
Austin Kearns- have the ball from his first career HR in Cincinnati
Reggie Sanders- Still my favorite player from '95 Reds
Aramis Ramirez
Brady Clark
Moises Alou
Brian Giles
Morgan Ensberg
Troy Glaus
Chase Utley
Chad Tracy
Edwin Encarnacion
Jorge Cantu
Paul Konerko
Ryan Howard- saw that coming

Former Pawtucket Red Sox infielder, now Boston 1B Kevin Youkillis.
I'm going to the Pawtucket/Toledo game July 26th (and waiting impatiently).
Kevin is great...as well as Manny and David. Hmm....big Red Sox fan here....it doesn't show too much, does it?

Nah, I never would have guessed. As you may have surmised from my posts, I get a particular charge from seeing guys from the minors that I saw more than a couple times, make it to the show as an everyday contributor. The Paw Sox again have some good raw talent, they already have seen Gabe Kapler called up, and there is another OF, Adam Stern, on the cusp. INF Alejandro Machado just tore us up on his last visit here, and there is a pitcher named Craig Hansen that will catch your eye. He has a buggy whip for an arm, is listed as 6'5", 185 lbs., with good stuff. Former Cubs 1B Hee-Seop Choi is their everyday 1B, and when he finally learns to hit wicked breaking stuff, he'll find a spot on some MLB roster, or even play PH/platooner with Boston.
