With 2 spots in the rotation becoming huge blackholes and the Dodgers trying three different pitchers. (Tomko, Seo, Perez) Is it about time for Colletti to call up the unbelievable pitching prospect Billingsley.

No. he needs to continue to work on throwing strikes. Better to let him mature than to burn him up immediately.

If Odalis can grow up he could return to above-average form

His era is 3.95 Is that really great for AAA? I know he has a bright future but it just seems that if his era is 3.95 it would likely be in the mid 4 range in the majors. Maybe that is good enough for a 4 or 5th starter but bringing him up early could hurt things. I dunno, I do want another good starter.

"After the game, Colletti decided the youth movement was working so well, he'd bring up another 21-year-old. Billingsley, the top pitching prospect in the organization, will start Thursday, bumping a stunned Perez to the bullpen and a sour 21-year-old Guzman farther than that, all the way back to Triple-A Las Vegas. . . .

Billingsley is a first-round draft pick out of high school in 2003, was 6-3 for Las Vegas with a 3.95 ERA, 78 strikeouts in 70 1/3 innings, averaging 5 1/3 innings per start. He hasn't been truly dominant this year, dogged by high pitch counts, but he's being promoted anyway because management has lost confidence in Perez and Seo, who each allowed a home run on Tuesday night."

Not the greatest reasons to promote a potential star pitcher. I enjoy home grown talent as much as the next guy, but am concerned the Dodgers are over reacting. I can't help but see the nefarious hands of Frank and his wife behind this.

Billingsley has a relatively high ERA because the entire PCL that he is playing in is full of hitter's parks.
