Frank normally started off slow, almost every year with the Sox he did. Last year he hit 12 home runs while swinging off of one foot. He beat the Yanks today with his 15'th and all of a sudden the "A"s are positioning themselves nicely. Loaiza's back, and back strong as the Tribe discovered.

I have a suspicion that Thomas will end up .280'ish with 40+ homeruns. With the dangerous Chavez and Swisher adding to the hit parade?? I know they still have a few injuries but my guess is they are going to win their division and are a better team then many think. They have won 8 out of the last 10, 3 in a row, and are now over .500. I think the next two games against the Yanks should be interesting.

And it looks like Oaklands star is rising.

Ah, yes, Oakland. They are the thorn in the Mariners side. :) I'm wondering if Texas can keep up the lead...I'm thinking not.

I just started reading Moneyball-great read-so I plan on following the A's progress and transactions closely.

The sweep from yesterday helps a lot, as it not only hurts Texas, it benefits Boston. Nonetheless, Texas won the series in Boston, which makes them stay afloat for a while. Tonight's a different story: Texas is getting killed 5-0 in the 3rd inning.

The 21st-century A's have a thing for going nuts in June. Good to see!

That division has never been more "take'able" for the "A"s. Last year we Sox fans were afraid of only one team in baseball and that was Oakland.
