Hey, what are the odds that the D'bnacks and Yanks will be in the WS again this year. The 2001 series was a CLASSIC and I'd love to see it again. There's a great book about the 2001 WS -- "The Last 9 Innings." Check it out.
Anyone wanna lay odds on a rematch????/ We'll check back in October to see who's right!

Unless Randy Johnson returns to some kind of usable form, and Jaret Wright can consistently do 6-7 innings, I wouldn't put my money on this, unfortunately.
Right now, I'd say the Cards are due. The AL, I'm not too sure of.

Neither. I'm going to say an all-central world series. Tigers Vs. Cardinals.

Same thing I was wondering. Where is the neither option?

The Yankees don't have the pitching to get out of the first round of the playoffs.

You guys are all wrong, it's going to be a Blue Jays-Reds series with Griffey hitting the second ever game 7 walk-off homerun.
I dream too much.

I have said this before baseball wants a Dodgers-Yankees WS after the last few years WS ratings have been in the toliet.

Interesting that nobody's mentioned the Mets so far. Equally interesting that the Mets are sweeping the Snakes under the rug.
The Yanks would need one fine 2nd half with several pitchers contributing. If Pavano returns and proves himself useful (even if for 6 runs), Chacon returns to effectiveness, Moose and Wang are good, then we'll only have to worry about Unit.
Right now, the Yanks have only Moose, Wang and perhaps Chacon who can be counted upon, so not exactly the formula for success that was used in the 20th Century.
