For the masses to respect you as much as you deserve, and in some cases, a little too much. Which MLB city is the worst city to play in, in regards to national recognition?

Colorado,if youre a hitter its always contributed to the thin air not ability. Or perhaps Kansas City theyre so bad that no one ever gets recognized as being good, though I'm not sure there is anyone good there right now, so ill say Colorado.

How many people know who plays for the Drays.

That's a good point. Myself, as the writer of the poll, voted for Pittsburg. Maybe, that came from my AL baises? The question though was more about being a "STUD" and not being recognised.

Perhaps, a which teams can't you name 3 guys off the top of your head poll should be served?

Its honestly not possible for me not to be able to name three guys off the top of my head....TB, gomes, Kazmir, Lugo, PITT: Bay, Castillo, Paulino KC:Gruzelanek, Sanders, Mentkevitz, Col: Hawpe, Holliday, Helton. And those all were off the top of my head.

LA or NY has to be the toughest place by far

For the rest of the country to take notice, it never helps if you're playing on the West Coast and your games are just beginning by the time a lot of people are going to sleep.

Especially in San Francisco. There's no chance of you being the best player on your team, the most well-liked in your city, the most hated by rivals, the most controversial or any of that good stuff. I know SF isn't "the worst place to play", that franchise seems to know what they're doing. Just a point I thought should be made.

Considering half the population now lives on the West Coast I find that hard to believe.

I didn't say how many people miss them, I said a lot of people. Half of an entire nation, although that number has no reflection on how many of them are baseball fans/members of the media, is still a lot of freaking people.

The only time I ever get to watch NL West teams is when they play the Reds, and even then it's mostly only when they play in Cincinnati. You can't deny that that plays a huge factor.

You don't have the same disadvantage that I do, seeing as you live on the west coast.

I'm sure there are some people here (who have real schedules, seeing as it's 3am right now) who agree with what I'm saying. I'm not alone. :laugh

If a city like Tampa Bay doesn't get media coverage outside of its market than what a few million people actually see the players same as many other markets in the country but lets say If the N.Y. or L.A. market doesn't get coverage outside of thier market in these markets you still have 30 million people each getting to see the teams. That is what makes the difference.

LA market also consist of Las Vegas a city whos market is bigger than alot of MLB markets

Obseve Joe Mauer, leading the majors in batting average by a good margin, who was, last time I checked, not even in the top 5 for AL Catcher voting.
