I'm not taking credit for finding this...but a great poster from the Orioles board pulled all this together:

O's reaction to the Grimsley scandal:

"I don't know a whole lot about that. It doesn't sound like it's something we want to hear again," Perlozzo said. "I don't know enough about it to be able to answer questions."

Told that Grimsley had reportedly provided investigators with a list of former teammates who had used the illegal drugs, Perlozzo said the news would not be a distraction -- with one caveat.

"I don't think so, unless he names some people who are on this team ... and there's some validity to it," Perlozzo said. "We'll get through whatever it is. It's one of those things that comes and goes. And the sooner it goes, the better off we all are."

"At this point, I am aware of the affidavit. I read some of it today. I am not very good at filling in the blanks at this point," Flanagan said. "I haven't heard a whole lot about it, the timeline and such. He didn't spend a whole lot of time here in the last year and a half."

Flanagan also said: "I think you're always surprised to go down this path."

"It's like another Palmeiro issue," said Orioles designated hitter Javy Lopez. "I just hope he didn't mention any guys here. That would be shocking news again. That's the last thing we need here, the same kind of thing that pushed us back last year."

Third baseman Melvin Mora agreed. "I hope nothing negative comes from this in the clubhouse," Mora said. "We have a lot of young guys in here, and we don't need what happened last year to happen again."

On the day Palmeiro returned to the Orioles last August, Grimsley was one of the players vocally in his corner, saying: "He's my teammate. I'll go to war with him any day."

Yesterday, the Orioles showed surprise that Grimsley would be at the center of an hGH investigation.

"It's sad," Lopez said. "He used to be a great guy with us. If he was doing it, he hid it pretty well."

*****
"I don't think that a lot of the things discussed in a clubhouse -- certainly not all of it -- is meant to be discussed in public," said Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts, referring to Grimsley's statements.

In the words of Sgt. Schultz: "I see nothing!".

The O's statements are pretty honest. Brian Roberts statement bothers me a little. This isn't a baseball Investigation,It's Federal. I'll bet if it meant that he might have to face jail time and his family(if he has one) would have to do without him for awhile,"Clubhouse Etiquette" would not be his main concern. From what I've read,Grimsley didn't make it public. The Feds did after he refused to wear a wire and co-operate further. He seems to be doing his best to accept HIS blame without facing prosecution. It's a difficult position for him. It sounds like his former teammates understand this, especially after asking for his own release.

Yeah, from the article I read (who knows if you can trust those articles) it sounds like the Feds said give us Bonds and Grimsley said he didn't even know him. So, the Feds outted Grimsley.

As for Roberts...that's kind of shady. I wonder how many Orioles (should I say how many more Orioles) are going to come under suspision?

Remember how bad we did in the second half? 29-61 over the final 90 games of the season and how we couldn't keep a winning streak going??

This is not what we need right now!

Seriously, I hope if he names any names...it's the names we already know.
