About 91.28% to 98.83% give or take 0.71%.

NONE

Do these guys have any weight on their back foot? Their back foot is up on their toe.

Weight back actually means to keep your upper body centered between your feet. Don't lunge forward and let your head get over your front foot. But, the force of your movement, and the shift during rotation, moves ALL of the weight to your front foot.

Sometimes hitters actually have the back foot in the air, like this guy;

Note that NONE of them have their head, or upper body, beyond the center point between their feet. That is what your coach probably means when he says keep your weight back. You do NOT want to shift the upper body OVER/above your front foot.

Would that this were so - but I'll bet not.

Good post.

Lots of them on here.

To find them collected in one place Siggy has the best site.

What you are supposed to do is keep your weight back and then as your steping at the pitcher push all of your weight forwards on to your front foot.

I wouldn't describe it that way. I'd describe it as carrying the middle forward and then turning that momentum into rotation. You can read everything on here while comparing the words to slow motion video of pro hitters and sifting out the sophists from the real world instructors and or you can buy Englishbey's dvd's. I think the basics video is pretty inexpensive.

What do you exactly mean by "weight"? And keep it back where?

If you set your upper body over your back foot and then try to push it forward, you will never be successful beyond maybe double-a, if that.

Lean on your back foot and as u swing push all of the wieght into the ball. I don't know what your talking about it is not that hard to do.

MastaFigZ, if my memory (of your previous posts) serves me right, you are in the 7th Grade and relatively new to this forum. Many of the contributors on this board have studied hitting for longer than you have been alive. Treat them w/ respect and you may find that your current beliefs are challenged by what they say and changed by the video evidence they show.

I am not trying to say jbooth is old!:rolleyes:
