Hey Guys , just wondering , do you think that 'fonso is on 'roids ???
He practicly has his HR total from last year ( When he was in a Hitters Heaven Park ) in RFK ( Pitchers Heaven ) ???

Here are the numbers :

HRs in 2005 ( Playing 156 Games and about 50% of them in TX ) : 36
HRs in 2006 in RFK stadium ( in about 30 Games ) : 11
SBs in 2005 ( This stat has nothing to do with the field but with the use of steroids that can make you quicker ) : 30
SBs in 2006 : 11 .

The point is that Soriano has shown significant change in his HR totals going from a Hitters Heaven to a Pitchers Heaven . He has single handedly breaken Jose Guillen's HR totals from last year , him who was the HR leader for this club in 2005 ., in a third of the season . He is basically on pace to hit 33 HRs in RFK stadium , he is either a baseball God who has been hiding his talents for 7 MLB seasons or a desperate 2B converted into an OF trying to gain his 2B job back with offensively humongous numbers , The choice is yours MLB Fans .

I think the change from AL to NL has helped him. I also think he will slow down as the NL pitchers get used to seeing him.

Another thing I would like to mention is that as hard as he swings, when he hits one out, it goes out most anywhere. For his approach, I don't think playing in Arlington helped him as much as it has helped others.

And, possibly the most important factor, he is in a contract year. ;)

So I voted for the third option.

He's not a baseball god. Nor is he on steroids. He's just having a better year.

I don't believe Soriano is on steroids just by seeing how thin and small framed he is. Secondly, Soriano has had 2 seasons in the years past where he hit nearly 40 HR in Yankeee Stadium, an unfriendly enviroment for right handed hitters so it's not like 2006 is his only season where he has hit for great power.

I don't think he's been hiding his talents. Everything about his game looks the same to me. I think It's more of the juiced ball theory working for many players this year.

Just to let everyone know, threads that are based on little more than rampant specualtion will not be allowed. Unless the poll starter can even provide a shred of evidence beyond increased stats, this poll will not have long to live. You want to start a poll like this, go to mlb.com.

Unfortunate. Consider the tolerance level one, and any more beyond tolerance. Both will be taken care of in that manner.

The tolerence level should drop on certain other threads that have been clogging up Current Events.

I second that.

There's only so much we can do.
If there's something you don't like for legitimate reasons, just let us know. The last thing I do want is for people to be afraid to post something for fear it will be deleted. Discretion needs to be used on all ends.

Soriuano is awfully skinny if he is on sterids. Where's the overnight 35 pound weight gain. Remmeber, he did hit 39 HRs one season as a Yankee. That's pretty impressive in that ballpark.
