Roger Clemens first tuneup game is being shown on ESPN right now (7 P.M. EST). It's a class A game between Lexington and Lake County. He allowed a homer in the first. That will be the highlight of that kid's career!

I'm watching (what else?) the Yanks and Sox play in the 2nd inning, praying that Pauley pitches his way through at least five innings.

Clemens finished with 62 pitches in 3 complete innigs with 6 K and 0 BB but one hit batter. The 9000 spectators at the 6000 seat Appleby Park saw pretty well his whole gamut of pitches, with his fastest pitch at 93MPH in the 3rd. It was ironic that the batter (Johnny Drennon {not sure of spelling}) was wearing #22, same as Rocket. Also note Roger got him in 4 pitches in the 3rd.
Now he moves to Corpus Christie, then onto Round Rock to complete his preparation for the Astros.
Yes, even here in Oz we saw the 3 innings live!! And that is it for Baseball today - no other live games. Instead we get a replay of a Cricket International between England & Sri Lanka, 3rd rate boxing, or all day replays of the French Open teniis (or is it the grunting competition?)

random note, i spent 3 weeks in NZ, and i still found i had no concept of cricket at the end of the trip. lol
but anyways, back to baseball games. no surprise that wood was pulled after 3 2/3. 4 runs given up, 1 earned. (still on the hook for ensberg) whats surprising i guess is that he had 0 K's.

I was listening to the game on radio and the Angel announcers had to mention that at least 20 times. Thought with the pitching matchup it would be a decent game but Kazmir couldn't hold his end of the deal.

Elvis Did you catch that in the 7th inning on Sunday the camera was on the crowd and all the sudden (probably only staduim where you can see this) the famous Chavez Ravine Blowup Doll being passed around the staduim. Vinny like always showed his class and didn't make a comment on it.

I was there. Applebee's Park is 15 minutes from my house. That was a lot of fun.
Eric Milton has decided to be worth all his money (temporarily, at least)! He's given up one ER in his past three starts (2-1 in those three, the one loss was against Brandon Webb, who pitched a CG shutout) and the Reds beat Chris Carpenter and the Cardinals 7-0. The Reds are now one game back on the Cardinals. Aaron Harang goes up against Sidney Ponson (4-0 on the year) tomorrow night.
