Why do we still have him? Isn't there a team willing to trade some bats or cleats for him?

His leading the club in pretty much every offensive department aside, you're pretty much right. We'd get bats, cleats, and a bigger bag of balls than you carry around.

He has good power.
Mike Schmidt is a legend. Johnny Bench is a legend. Adam Dunn has good power. The right deal comes along, you trade him.

Dun's a good hitter, and he helps bring in fans.

Maybe, but if the right deal comes along, he is certainly not untouchable. Griffey is probably more of a draw, and I'd actually prefer a healthy Kearns at this point, providing he doesn't tailspin like he did last season.

Oh definately, without Griffey we'd loose half of the fan base.

to be honest i don't think adam dunn is that nexessary for our team. In our five game winning streak Adam's had 3 hits in 16 at bats 0 rbi's and 4 runs. Its not that impressive, I'm sorry to say. I think we oculd probably get a decent pitcher for him. Mebe not someone with a ton of potential like scott kazmir, nor someone with a bunch of stardom, but we could probably get a guy who you can expect to give oyu a quality start every time he comes out. I think we should trade him if there are suitors

But he walks a lot. Which makes him more valuable than any player in Reds history, except perhaps Christy Mathewson.

I went to a Reds game in Citizens Bank Ballpark last year, and sat in the left field seats just a few rows back from the field. A couple of (probably drunk) Phillies fans in front of me were hollering insults at Dunn the whole game. They even made fun of his baggy trousers!

Are you sure they were Phillies fans? There were a few Reds fans where I was monday night who were hollering insults at the television whenever Dunn was pictured or mentioned. Oh, the place did explode when Griffey hit the 9th inning homer.

Well, they definitely had that distinctive Philadelphia accent...

Wait, did someone say that since adam dunn walks more he is "more valuable than any player in Reds history, except perhaps Christy Mathewson". Honestly, I hope you asid that faciously. A walk is nice. But are you saying Adam Dunn is less valuable then ANY reds player EVER! I could go into the sabermetrics, but cmon, adam dunn is a good player, just unneccesary for our team.

Of course I was kidding. Mathewson won, what, one game with the Reds? Yeah, totally facetious and overstating everything. Some just seem to really over value walking, so it's kind of a pet joke of mine. I actually like Dunn. And he probably is the Reds' most tradeable asset.
