ok here we are well into the season and i havent seen sammy get mad at all. he comes out to question a call, agrees with what the ump says and walks back to the dugout. im not saying go larry bowa on the ump but come on sammy. havent you ever heard of getting thrown out to get your players into, get them pumped. i mean we have gone through two calm managers in grover and maz please be different. perfect example in fridays game when damon was overruled and called safe at second. sam comes out and talks and goes back in the dugout. the call after watching the replay was close enough to argue and get fired up, he was safe yes but when you see it in real time i would have gotten fired up.

He's like Lee Mazzilli. It takes a lot to make him mad.

Sammy got thrown out of the game during the last road trip...I think it was against Angels..the second game (someone correct me if I'm wrong). It was during the Tim Timlan ump series with the two nights of bad calls...

Sam's a very quiet coach. You need to do something really bad to rock his boat. Give him credit

Now Earl Weaver: That guy was a volcanic eruption with bad calls. 3.. 2.. 1... KA-BOOM!!!!! He roared like a lion.

Davey Johnson was a pretty angry coach himself, he was very explosive on bad calls. It took him awhile to get him steamed though... but when we steamed, he showed it.

I remember Mazz getting tossed last year. Sometimes you need to do it to make a point...as Sam did during the road trip. But, Sam has been arguing more.
