For some reason, Cano is leading the all star ballots:

Second Base
1. Robinson Cano, Yankees 289,394
2. Mark Loretta, Red Sox 257,125
3. Tadahito Iguchi, White Sox 246,838
4. Brian Roberts, Orioles 130,702
5. Placido Polanco, Tigers 129,596

Take a look at his stats for this season.
59/193, batting .306, 27 runs, 2 home runs, 20 rbi, and 0 stolen bases. Respectable for a second year second baseman.

Now how about Lopez
62/220 batting .282, 30 runs, 8 home runs, 42 rbi, 1 stolen base.
Who today had another homer, and added 3 more rbi's to his 2nd base leading 42. Again, he is also only in his second year. More importantly, he is the cornerstone of the Mariners offense, I think even the MVP of the team, our most consistant player both offensively and defensivly (top 3 at least.)

So he isn't even in the top 5? I sure hope Ozzie finds this kid, because he dosn't deserve to be behind someone who has been injured half the season in Brian Roberts.

I hate how people pick up the all-star ballots, vote for their favorite players, and then fill the rest in with Yankees.
