Ok folks, the Yankees are in town
What to Expect
* - Questionable and Blown Calls
* - Rambunctious Fans
* - Sam Perlozzo getting steamed at the Tiny Strikezone.
* - New York Umpires who move their strikezone around.
What I want to see
* - Unbiased and a fair game
* - Yankee fans need to shuddap
O's, tear these boys apart, they are weakened because of their injury crushed line-up. Go out there. Take the Series!

The O's are looking good through 3 1/2. Benson is sharp and,as you mentioned, the Yanks aren't at full strength. Every team deals with that at some point in the season. It won't show in the standings! Go O's!!

Derek Jeter bought that 2-2 pitch... I think Chris Ray should've thrown his 100 mile per hour fastball in Jeter's Prettyboy face after that bullsh*t call.

A couple of notes from a Yankee fan.
1. The series is in Baltimore. If the fans are rambunctious, they're yours.
2. There are times it seems like the Yanks never get the calls. Of course I'm sure every fan often seems the calls go against their team.
3. Even though our lineup has been weakened by injuries, some of our subs have come up big lately. We are not rolling over and playing dead over our injuries. Witness the Detroit series.
It was a good game tonite. We were lucky to came away with a win tonite against you guys.

Well...B-Rob did have the ball when he tagged out Damon. He just dropped it when he brought it up. *sigh*
But, we got two really good calls last week against the D-Rays so I guess fair is fair.
But, I HATE that kind of cheap loss.

I read the NY Post this morning and the Baltimore Sun...and I love how the spin the Brian Roberts error. NY Post has Johnny Damon "KICKING the ball out of Brian Roberts glove"
The ball came out of his hand when he was bringing it up to show the ump that he had it. How is that "kicking it"
See, now since most people are not smart enough to investiagte anything themselves...they will just believe what they read. I saw the instant replay 20 teams on T.V. Damon didn't kick anything.
*sigh*
No wonder everyone hates the Yankees.

we'll get 'em back this afternoon.
Let's not forget: Randy Johnson is 4-12 against the O's in his career.

I didn't know that. Come on Loewen!

Geezus, the umpires really botched a lot of calls for the O's! Yankees bought more calls today.
And once again, we lose by.. 1... god-forsaken run!

Also, was it me or did our defense have ball-dropping issues. I think each player in the infield dropped the ball at least once...and some twice!
The Yankees didn't beat us...we beat ourselves. And can someone please tell me why Patterson doesn't bunt against lefties? Why didn't he bunt on in the 7th?

Yankee bullpen blew it or he'd be 5-12.
Another good game. We weren't as lucky against you guys today. But Yanks won anyway.

Nice Andy Phillips home run. Your "second string" as I think I mockingly called them in another post....some teams would happily call starters.

At least Loewen was good, but he's still got a few kinks to work out.
We'll salvage the series tomorrow.

He's a rookie...this is true. But he through more strikes than balls (which you can not say for all our starters)...more SO then BB (again, you can't say for all our starters)...
He did pretty good in my book.

It looks like the O's might win today. They're leading 10-0 in the 5th with 2 homers from Lopez and 1 from Fahey. Nice to be able to sit back and enjoy one like this. I really like the way Fahey plays. He's very fundamentally sound and hits like a guy his size should. His father Bill played for 11 years in the majors(Senators,Rangers,Padres,Tigers) as a backup catcher.
...and to think this team was a run or two away from sweeping this series. Meanwhile I think this Yankee team is just about ready for a skid. They'll just need a tour vs. Chi-Cle-Det or something akin to it.

Not only did he not retire...he practically handed us the win. Although, he thumped Kevin Millar and Conine in this series.

I was at the game today and it was great. For once, the Yankee fans were silent as little mice in OPACY. Only in the 1st inning...and towards the end when they had a little rally did you hear the annoying "lets go Yankees" cheer. Otherwise....you wouldn't even have known they were there.

Speaking about the Yankees....Derek Jeter is back playing for the first time since Lopez hit him (at DH). Well, Texas' pitcher tonight just hit him today. Jeter tossed his bat down in anger (rightly so). The pitcher was pitching him inside to take advantage of his hurt thumb. Anyway....Randy Johnson is pitching for the Yankees....think he's going to hit Texas? First pitch to Texas they hit a HR.
Ouch.
