A lot of semi-milestones were achieved by A's players in tonights shutout over the Twins. Zito got his 1000th strikeout with the A's, Macha got his 300th victory in an A's uniform, and Mark Kotsay hit his 100th career home run. Also tonight, Frank Thomas got the 1,494th RBI of his career, moving past Dave Parker for 45th place...Funny excerpt here from the yahoo news wrap up of the game:

It was Macha's 300th win with the A's and he trails franchise leader Connie Mack by just 3,327

Only 3,327 more to go Macha, you can do it! :crazy

He has about 45 more years to catch up to Connie.

And he's about 500 wins shy of Tony La Russa's team record for wins.

Funny how Barry's K's have declinded every year since he won the CY. I would have thought he would be 1000 K's much earlier...

Yeah I was going to say the same thing. Maybe things will change and he'll return to Cy Young form soon.
