Last place :grouchy , starting a little early with our June swoon this year...

Gathright would make a great pinch runner, but to see him hit is giving me agida :crazy Held onto him too long, now he's not worth much in return, especially pitching. I think the Scott Olsen for Gathright deal is officially dead, if I was the Marlins at least it would be.

I am so sick of being under .500 with this team :hp

6 consecutive losses, and 3 in a row on the last play of the game :grouchy

The Elias Sports Bureau should be looking up that sorry statistic. Can't hold a 5-1 lead over the Orioles yesterday, as Gathright starts off their big inning by losing a ball in the dusk sky. Then with his noodle arm he didn't even try to throw out 39 year old Jeff Conine from third. :grouchy

Looking forward to the amatuer draft on Monday...once again looking for prospects that can help us down the road. :o

Hang in there Raysnbran, I think they will get back on track again. As far as Gathright goes, I never have been a fan of his. His only real asset is speed, and he isn't a good baserunner, so that negates his speed.

I really don't know what Maddon sees in him besides speed. You got a guy in Durham that has had issues in Elijah Dukes, that is 100 times the ballplayer Gathright is, but doesn't get a sniff of the majors. Is Gathright out of options or something where they are afraid that he will get claimed if they try and send him down? If Rocco is going to play RF when he gets up in 2 weeks, then bring up Dukes too. Stop holding guys back in the minors to prevent their FA clock ticking. The guys up here are getting vested pensions as major leaguers and 2/3rds of them belong in AAA anyways :grouchy
