He was my second pick on my fantasy team. I can't believe he lasted until the second round, pick #18. He was like the 8th outfielder taken.

What a tear he's on. Homeruns in 6 consecutive games? That IS hot! A few weeks ago I looked at his stats and he was hitting about .255 with 5 homers and 13 RBI's.
Nice game for Oliver Perez today. That's the guy who pitched for you Pirate fans 2 years ago!

More importantly, he ended Saturday's 18-inning marathon.

VOTE BAY INTO THE ALL-STAR GAME!
Take a good look at the stats. Not just this year, but even over the last two years. Jason Bay is the best outfielder in the National League.
His current line:
.309/.434/.606 15 homers, 43 RBIs, 5 SBs (1 CS)
And just in case you think that these numbers are a "fluke" because of the recent tear he has been on, take a look at last years numbers:
.306/.402/.559 32 homers, 101 RBIS, 21 SBs (1 CS)
Bay is a top ten player in the game right now. Perhaps I should repeat that, in case someone read over it, or thought I was joking. Jason Bay is a top ten player in the game right now. He is arguably the best outfielder in the game, and is certainly top four.
Guys, I am only going to one meaningful game at PNC Park this summer: the All-Star game. Help vote Bay in! Not just because I am asking, but also because there is no way that there are three more deserving candidates in the National League outfield.

though currently deserving, fans don't know who is and he platoons so there is almost no way Gardner would pick him for the team.

Now it's Jose Castillo's turn. He's hit Home Runs in 5 consecutive games.
Meanwhile Bay hit out his 12th of the month, setting a franchise record for HRs in May.
Finally Jack Wilson is on a roll, with an 11 game hitting streak.
Talk about a streaky team....

mainly just Jack WIlson and Jose Castillo. especialy Wilson since he has nothing resembling patience at the plate. 2004 was a fluke for him, but then again, i think 2005 was a fluke for him too.

Jason Bay was named National League Player of the Month (May).
Bay set a Pirates record for the month with 12 homers - including at least one in six straight games from May 22-28 - and tied for the NL lead with 35 RBI. He also batted .321 (35-for-109) with a .688 slugging percentage and .402 on-base percentage.
Congrats to Jason Bay. He's doing an excellent job of representing my country! Keep it up Jason!
I voted for him in the All-Star game! Everyone should do the same.

he is representing your country very well. I like him more because he represents my baseball team well but if theres more canadians that play baseball like him go ahead and send them to pittsburgh.
