If Carlos Guillen can finish this year with a BA over .320 he will be the only player in MLB history to improve his batting AVG in 8 consecutive years. As it stands now he along with like 4 others are the only players to do it for 7.
Just something odd to root for.

Who are the other four? Did they start out as marginal players, and gradually get to good, or start out good and become superstars?

I am not even sure that it is only 4, it might be more (my memory not so good not more). I heard that little tid bit on the radio before the season started. You just ran right into one of my biggest pet peeves. Them radio folk did not state the others of that group, and it is not like that is an easy one to look up. <shrugs>
But I would have to think they went from marginal to good.....anyway, off to the game today with me, for floppy hats and a Rogers win.
