Don't believe me, check out my proof:
6 TIMES THE REDS HAVE BEEN SHUTOUT (12.2%)
10 TIMES THE REDS HAVE SCORED 1 OR LESS RUNS (1-9 Record, 20.4%)
6 TIMES OPPOSING TEAM SCORED 3 OR LESS RUNS AND WON (12.2%)
9 TIMES REDS PITCHING HAS GIVEN UP 3 ERS AND LOST (18.3%)
REDS OPPONENTS AVERAGE 5 RUNS PER GAME, THE REDS HAVE SCORED MORE THAN 5 RUNS 23 TIMES (46.9%)

and whenever they hit a slump, i expect threads like this pop up.

they'll still score about 800 runs this year.

Well, i think the reds are very "all or nothing". It seems like adam dunn is almost symbolc of the reds. He strikes out a done, but then he also has about a thousand home runs (facisiously using hyperbole). So, i wouldn't say we aren't offensive, we just aren't ALWAYS offensive.

Ah, the two angry jokes. Perfect example of two guys still bitter about spending all of high school getting stuffed into various lockers by the jocks. Seems like so many of the sports media is like that around these parts.

If Griffey and Dunn don't hit homeruns, then this offense doesn't produce. We need more guys that hits for average and can get you a clutch hit when the game is on the line. More guys like Phillips, Lopez, and Kearns would be great for this team, but for that to happen, Dunn or Griffey must be traded...

Freel + Lopez + Griffey + Kearns = grand slam potential, and not to mention the first two are blazing fast. Lopez can hit a triple or double with ease, with the occasional home run. I wonder if it's his tattoos :laugh

Griffey dismantles any pitcher, regardless of which hand they throw with. Don't give up with the Reds offense! It will work out one day.

Edit: a shutout is a good way to keep Houston or Milwaukee out of the race for a bit, and I have a feeling you guys will be in first for a while. Sweep us tomorrow, you're doing us a favor to put the Cardinals out of their misery.

Fellas they are averageing 5.26 runs a game. Which puts them in like the top 5 in baseball. This on a NL team that has pitchers batting most of the time, "in the NL they are 3'rd". They have won 7 in a row and are tied for 1'st place. I think the Reds are for real this year.

You guys are in first now, and chased off a flyball pitcher in only 3.2 innings. What's worse, the NL Central other than the Reds is just Comedy Central. (not the channel, a term for when the whole central division is a laughingstock) With Clemens returning and the Cardinals crumbling very fast, this could mean a whole new NL Central...
