I believe that the BBF clock is off by 10 minutes, my clock which is based off of time.nist.gov is 10 minutes faster than the one here on BBF.

I have noticed that too, but never said nothing.
Is this normal?

Let's see. It should read 8:33pm ET right now.

Yeah, it's off by 10 minutes. My PC and the clock on the below link read the same:

Wow, I never even realized this. The BBF clock is now off 18 minutes from my computer clock. That definitely should be fixed.

This is not something we can just "go in and fix"

What is more than likely creating this issue is the time on the server is off...

this happens with downtime, and just poor maintenance on the Web Host part.

That is where the times are generated... it is not something that is created from within the forum..

I will contact Sean and see what he can do to fix this 15 minute issue.

This issue had been resolved some time ago, I have been informed that we are working on a long term solution that will resolve this once and for all.

Please be patient with this matter, since it really is not an urgent issue it might take some time before our host addresses it.

Thanks!

Those of us who participate in fantasy drafts here will be overjoyed when this issue is resolved. The discrepancy sometimes leads to arguments over the time that someone's window expires.

What exactly is the nature of the problem? I'm curious, that's all.

Why is the time stamp off by about twenty minutes? :noidea

This issue is still not resolved...

We think the issue comes from when the server goes down, it comes back online using the exact time from when it went offline...

If that makes sense...

So, now we have the host working on a custom script that will check the site time when it comes back online...

another way to look at this... the clock is off 18 minutes, the last time we had it reset it was at the first of the season, I think... So we only went down 18 minutes over the entire season...
