...must we suffer with Mr. Reitsma as closer. He cannot locate his off-speed pitches and he is afraid to throw strikes. And when he does throw strikes he's hit hard. He's not confident and neither are the fans nor the team.

Look at his stats, and they will tell u the whole tale of why he is not fit to be the closer if you need to see that.

The question now is, how long is Bobby Cox gonna B.S. the media and blow more games for the braves by leaving him as the closer???

Ken Ray should be given a trial period as the closer....and frankly he deserves it. He comes in throws strikes and gets the job done. He did awesome when he was called into close. He's the team's best bullpen arm, and your best bullpen arm should be the closer.

The guy's ERA. is 1.50. Whew enough said.

Today Reitsma again almost blew the game:rolleyes:   Thank god Mike came in and was clutch. So what do you all think???

I want Joe Nathan. Trade whatever but convince the Twins they need what we can give them more than they need Nathan right now. Then maybe turn around and try to trade for Dontrelle Willis if we can. We need a shakeup. We've got a couple more guys in the bullpen at Richmond in Phil Stockman and Will Startup that could help the pen soon also.

I'm pretty surprised that the Braves decided against signing/trading for a closer before the season started. I know they have a history of developing a closer, but Mazzone is gone, and they really didn't have that much bullpen talent to mold.
