You gotta like the Rays' record when you look at their stats. If they start hitting, who knows?

"How in the world are they doing it? How are the Tampa Bay Devil Rays sitting with a very respectable 20-25 record at this point? Believe it or not, if you have played Tampa Bay every day thus far this season, you're +1.65 units. Granted, that's no jackpot, but the point is how many would even know that playing Tampa each time out has been profitable at all?.."

And this is with Baldelli out all season, Lugo and Huff missing a month, Cantu out going on 3 weeks, a bullpen in disarray so much we picked up our closer off the DFA scrap heap...just imagine if we were completely healthy and we get some decent starting pitching. Certainly we could have been over .500 at this point. We'll keep treading water and see what happens :gt

no doubt about it, this team has an amazing potential to be much better than what they already are. imagine if cantu was healthy, or if rocco was healthy, or if gathright could hit, or if crawford was playing well, or if huff was playing well, or if our bullpen wasn't a travesty....amazing!

this team is better than any non dray fan ever thought it would be(well maybe not all) but to us fans we knew they wwere good. this team is only gonna get better once the hitting gets going and we get some guys back from injury.

No, he is rehabbing in Durham. He played last night and this afternoon. Had two hits in each game. They say he is not running well yet,but so far has been swinging the bat well. The plan is to give him 12-15 games in AAA, then bring him up. Today he played right field.

Actually the starting pitching hasn't been bad. They just can't find anyone to do the job in innings #7 and 8 on a consistant basis.Camp and Lugo do fine when the Rays are behind, but blow up when they come in with a lead. Orvella has bee a disappointmnent, I really thought he would do well this year.

yes, disappointed with orvella, but i'm liking walker lately. on pace for a nifty 30 saves this year. i can only imagine how good we'd be if our middle relief was worth anything!

All you need is one really good reliever and a legit #2 and #3 starter this offseason, and you can have a dominant team.
( Especially if your young players improve ).
